Par H @Parhwy Apr 10 Lost in Paris (2016) (Paris Pied Nus) is an 83-minute-long French-Belgium-Canadian comedy I hired from my local library and watched in April 2026. This is an odd, stylised film which is silly in a light-hearted way, with elements of pantomime and slapstick. The story itself is quite simple; the plot has many, many coincidences and conveniences. The acting at times is sometimes subpar, especially Fiona (without being derogatory, her character and the acting felt like a lesser-known Muppet… hard to explain however sincerely that is what I thought). Dom, though an annoying character, is well acted. Paris is seen from some of its blandest, dullest angles. Rewatch? No. Recommend? Maybe? Not sure. 4/10. The dance scene in the restaurant was so unexpected it was, IMO, brilliant. She alone was reason enough to watch the movie twice. I literally LOL several times. Although the cast and characters lack a stronger emotional connection, with some of them feeling forced, the exaggeration and absurd situations in the film manage to elicit a few laughs. In short, it is an indie production that mixes interesting moments with others that lack greater depth, resulting in an experience that fluctuates between fun and disorderly.
