Noel Murray Los Angeles Times The results are both mesmerizing and provocative. Dec 13, 2017 Full Review Anton Bitel Sight & Sound Brad Abrahams' documentary... is an ambiguous picture of a man who has embraced otherness as the ultimate escape from earthly concerns. May 8, 2017 Full Review Brent McKnight The Last Thing I See Earnest is the best way to describe David Huggins. He's an affable elder gentleman who works part time in a Hoboken deli, spends his spare time painting, and, oh yeah, lost his virginity to an extraterrestrial. Rated: B Jul 1, 2020 Full Review Witney Seibold IGN Movies Here is a man who experienced something terrible and strange, and who has been using his art as a method of exploring his psyche. That's very human. Rated: 7.5/10 Jan 25, 2018 Full Review Bradley Gibson Film Threat The doc has no framing mechanism, it's an hour of Huggins talking or other UFO believers talking about him. We are never told whether the filmmaker is a UFO believer or not. This is problematic. Rated: 6/10 Dec 14, 2017 Full Review Jennie Kermode Eye for Film Ultimately, this film doesn't tell us very much about extraterrestrials (even if you're a believer you will have heard similar sories before), but it has plenty to say about being human. Audience Member Does anyone else realize that this movie is about family incest and a man using dissociation to cope with what happened in his childhood? It could be even darker than this, but watch the documentary again. He is totally having sex with his alcoholic mother. This movie has nothing to do with aliens, it is a screwed up cry for help though this man's subconscious. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
