Audience Member I wonder why this way of meeting somebody is called "Mail Order Brides." The truth is, this is no different than somebody in New York meeting somebody in L.A. through online dating. The difference is that if you pay for a service, you get the added benefit of the people you meet having been background checked, and you can attend group mixers if you can afford the price it costs to get to that country. In short, this is not cheap, but the name is actually not descriptive of what actually happens. It makes it seem as if somebody is actually looking through a collection of women, and paying for the one he wants. In my opinion, the retention of this out of date name has an agenda. Unless you want to rename all online dating as mail order. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member some of the guys in this documentary are just plain pathetic...sad,but to be fair, they're looking for love,it might not be the perfect way to do it,but some of them find it,others would find scammers and con artist in the process, but isn't the love race the same way?...we just don't go to the other side of the world to marry an ukranian woman...but,well...you know what I mean. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member Mail order brides. Ever wondered how that works? This is your chance to find out. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member This documentary chronicles the journey of a handful of American men (and one Australian) as they navigate the East European "mail-order bride" industry. Along the way it does a good job of exposing how opaque some of the parties involved can be. That's not to say that the documentary paints with too broad a brush -- some of the subjects prove to be genuine and transparent with one another. This film will have you cringing at times, at the naivete of some of these men, and seems to show that only the lucky and the discerning make it through this process unscathed. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member :p most of these men are creepy, pathetic losers Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member I wanted to hit a few of these guys and tell them how stupid they were....I'm glad a few of em didn't get used and ended up being happily married!
