Amanda L So, having first seen Love Potion No. 9 when I was an utterly unjaded twelve-year-old, I may be biased in deeming this film a quirky rom-com classic. But come on, people! What’s with the low ratings for a movie that is clearly tongue-in-cheek in tone? I don’t know, maybe you have to have a taste for fairy tales and folklore to really dig the script. Or be accepting of fantastical elements in an otherwise mundane setting. Either way, I’m glad that I found the story to be moving and uplifting thirty years later. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/29/24 Full Review Rose T Silly, but cute and a fun time. Good acting, story good too. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/19/24 Full Review Cho R A couple of people who use a method of manipulation to abuse others without their consent Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/17/23 Full Review Audience Member I think this director is brilliant, very artistic. The entire movie is great, I looked him up and he only did one other movie. Such a shame maybe he was ahead of his time? Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Really good watch, could watch again, and can recommend. While this is a trip in the way back machine, it was surprising to see Sandra Bullock "She's All That" almost 10 years earlier, and it didn't work then either. While I think the mind control substance concept is great, there is an even better zombie movie to be had in this. But they do an excellent job presenting the story, and it's got a lot of good humor to it as well. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Well done smart and tasteful silly sex comedy. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/07/21 Full Review Read all reviews
