Leslie Combemale Cinema Siren The mixture of comedy and drama was a rarity for its time, leaving you very connected to the characters and rooting for their success. Susan G I love Jimmy Stewart and Carole Lombard. This movie was a good effort, but it suffered from poor directing and dialogue. I'd rather watch My Man Godfrey or Mr. Smith Goes to Washington. Oh well...lots of old movies are good, and lots of them aren't. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/20/24 Full Review Steve D With these stars it is impossible not to like it, or not to expect more. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/11/24 Full Review ed m Good old fashioned Hollywood movie. Starring two legends (Jimmy Stewart, Carole Lombard). Featuring two of the great character actors (Charles Coburn, Ward Bond.) Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/20/23 Full Review nick s The storyline was a bit rambling, but the intoxicating acting and crisp dialogue made up for it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/11/23 Full Review paul s 2022 Fantastic to watch. Sad knowing Carol Lombard would be dead by Airplane Crash in a few years Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review john g Excellent acting by Lombard, Stewart, Coburn, and Lucile Watson. Hyper-torqued, 30's-style tear-jerker. Very much of a downer except for the very first part and the very end. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews
