See more 01/29/2011 Madrasapattinam was brilliant! The story is really touching and way different than the usual Kollywood movies. The visuals and costumes of the old India in the 1940's were amazing and very beautiful. Amy Jackson's debut in the Indian cinema was a success, especially because she is British and doesn't know any Tamil. She did a great job in speaking Tamil in the movie and I'm looking forward to see her in more Indian movies. The rest of the cast was great too, especially the British crew. I was pleasantly surprised by their performance, especially Alexx O'Nell. The story, the direction, the cast and the costumes and just the whole movie was perfect. Thumbs up for Madrasapattinam!
