Nell Minow RogerEbert.com Given the complexity and near-fairy tale improbability of his real-life story, it is not surprising that Anthony is comfortable taking a break from plot to revel in the pure abstraction of movement. Rated: 3/4 Mar 29, 2024 Full Review Peter Martin EverythingButHorror.com Madu may not be riveting television, lacking extreme dramatic or incredible fantasy, yet it's a good watch, a human story, which rewards viewing and provides insight on a subject I knew very little about. Apr 15, 2024 Full Review Johnny Loftus Decider Madu tells the story of Anthony’s unlikely journey... with respect for its subject and sensitivity to what he has experienced. But it’s heartening message of believing in and working toward one’s dreams is entirely universal. Apr 5, 2024 Full Review Jennifer Green Common Sense Media Anyone interested in dance, or who has been, had, or even known a child with an exceptional talent, will connect with Madu. Apr 5, 2024 Full Review Dave Golder Radio Times A sumptuous-looking film which evocatively captures Madu's passion in both solo and ensemble dance sequences. Rated: 3/5 Apr 4, 2024 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue The observational style leaves a void for contextual details, although the uplifting film resonates in its quieter moments when Anthony’s innocent charm, and his precocious passion, take center stage. Glo-Group This is a beautiful film following this young dancers dream of becoming a professional dancer. The inobtrusive style of the film allows you to follow the story at a respectful distance whilst at the same time being allowed to feel the emotions this young man and his family go through. It leaves you itching for more, to see if he makes it on to the big stage that he dreams of. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/01/24 Full Review S B Simply inspirational!!!
