Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express Ajay Devgn plays Syed Abdul Rahim with a patent sincerity and only a hint of the slo-mo swagger. His rag-tag team has the kind of composition so syncretic that it makes you ache with nostalgia. Rated: 2.5/5 May 10, 2024 Full Review Anupama Chopra Film Companion Maidaan is about the power of one. It’s a story that deserves to be in the spotlight. That first half and the punishing duration demand patience and endurance. But if you are willing to go the distance, you will be rewarded. Apr 16, 2024 Full Review Rohan Naahar The Indian Express It’s no The Damned United; nor is it Chak De! India. The movie can only be appreciated when you impose a deeper meaning onto it. Jun 14, 2024 Full Review Rahul Desai Film Companion Maidaan fails to score. May 10, 2024 Full Review Monika Rawal Kukreja Hindustan Times Ajay Devgn brings gravitas and perfection to his football coach role in Amit Sharma's latest movie. May 10, 2024 Full Review Devesh Sharma Filmfare All-in-all, director Amit Ravindernath Sharma has given us a riveting sports drama. Watch it to see the recreation of the golden period of Indian football and for the acting masterclass displayed by Ajay Devgn. Rated: 4/5 Apr 29, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Charan Follows a familiar trope of a sports redemption movie and hits all the right notes but Chakde India was much better in my opinion. A decent watch! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/21/24 Full Review Karan Movie was good but also boring in the starting . Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/15/24 Full Review panav Best movie ever seen by man Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/13/24 Full Review Manpreet Amazing and learning about history of the Olympic Games Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/11/24 Full Review Yash B "Maidaan" does not reinvent the wheel when it comes to sports biopics, but I think it is a great entry into the genre. I didn't know anything about this real-life story and found it engaging and easy to root for. I did feel the movie rushed certain moments and made others too drawn out, which made it inconsistent since it is a three-hour movie. I did want more about the characters on the team to make me more invested, but I still found myself rooting for them and enjoying the sports sequences. Overall, it is a movie that hits a lot of familiar notes, but I think these types of sports movies are just easy to like and enjoy and this is no exception. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/05/24 Full Review Shivani K Great movie! Watch it if you like sports movies and movies with good acting. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/29/24 Full Review Read all reviews
