David Ehrlich The Dissolve [...] The irresistibly dopey Make Your Move drops the spectacle endemic to most dance films in favor of a forward-thinking sweetness. [...] What the film lacks in authenticity, however, it makes up for in good intentions and simple pleasures. Rated: 2.5/5 Apr 21, 2014 Full Review Justin Chang Variety A slick, disposable soap opera about a poor white boy and a spirited Korean girl who fall in love despite hailing from rival corners of Brooklyn's club scene. Apr 20, 2014 Full Review Sheila O'Malley RogerEbert.com "Make Your Move" shows us the whole dancer. These sequences really move in a way that feels organic. Rated: 3/4 Apr 18, 2014 Full Review Pat Padua Spectrum Culture Its lack of sparks on the dance floor are matched by the sense of alienation when the dancing stops. Rated: 1.5/5 Aug 31, 2018 Full Review Mae Abdulbaki Punch Drunk Critics The type of film that could very well turn into a guilty pleasure or could have gotten a lot of ratings had it aired as a TV movie, but doesn't have the chops to keep its hold on audiences on the big screen. Rated: 2.5/5 Aug 14, 2018 Full Review S. Jhoanna Robledo Common Sense Media Star-crossed dance romance doesn't have the best moves. Rated: 2/5 Apr 23, 2014 Full Review Read all reviews

Jon B It's seems more like a bad musical. The story wasn't any good and the acting seemed forced. It's a bad movie all the way around. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/28/23 Full Review farah r The disaster lineage of dance flicks that Step Up started has to stop. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member awesome movie it shows you can accomplish anything if you try and nothing can come between love its kinda like a present day of Romeo and Juliet. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member choreography was pretty awesome Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member A cheesy B-movie. If you like the Step Up series, you'll probably enjoy the movie. If you love Derek Hough (as I do), you will probably enjoy the movie. If you like tap dance or the Taiko drumming style, you will also enjoy the movie. The dancing is hot, the writing not so much. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member BOA needs to stick to singing & dancing, because her acting really sucks. They should not have made her the main character. Terrible acting by BOA. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Read all reviews
