Audience Member This would make an interesting TV series. I find myself curious about what happens next. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member I was surprised at what I thought would be a b movie, turned out to be pretty damn good! The main character did a great job and I felt his acting was top notch. Pleasantly surprised by how good this was! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Oh my god. This movie begins with an absolute stellar premise. It has a wonderful slow build with what at first seems to be a relatively underwhelming climax. A great psychological thriller movie for the majority of the movie and in the last about 15 minutes it goes off the wall batshiz crazy. I absolutely loved it. Just the pure insanity of this movies ending took it from a 3.5 to 5 for me. I was honestly ticked off that the first part of the movie was so slow when their ending was so wild. They ended up smooshing two movies into one with this movie and while I love both concepts so much. I was left wanting with the ending though. It feels like their should be a sequel to the movie they set up in the last 15 minutes. I do kind of wish they had left this movie ending at the final camp sit and then just done a sequel movie for the rest of it. Still though freaking amazing movie, amazing concept, incredibly good CGI considering the budget, and the main actor really caries the film. I will definitely watch this again and probably force some friend to endure it too. If you love dumb, low budget horror movies then this is absolutely the movie for you. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member The build was great - the plot twist at the end was not! Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member A thrilling enough experience with a genuinely intriguing end twist. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Starts out great, then goes to absolute trash for the last 30 minutes. Brad Wheeler Globe and Mail While the film's woodsy frights build competently, director Adam Massey's lack of finesse prevents the viewer's imagination from running as wild as need be. Rated: 1.5/4 Nov 13, 2015 Full Review Anton Bitel Sight & Sound Mixing 'found' and 'objective' footage as blithely as it blurs genres, Man Vs. starts small before revealing the place of humanity in an unforgiving universe. Jun 3, 2015 Full Review C.H. Newell Father Son Holy Gore With nothing to justify all its slow meandering towards a lacklustre conclusion, Man Vs. is barely mediocre, and ultimately mostly a huge disappointment. Rated: 2/5 May 5, 2019 Full Review Di Golding Dear Cast and Crew Man Vs has a simple premise... a smart and tight script, shot economically with a compelling lead and blessedly sparing use of visual effects Rated: 3.5/5 Dec 10, 2018 Full Review Norman Wilner NOW Toronto We get to the point where the movie has to do something, and that's when Man Vs. reveals its larger game -- and falls apart. Rated: 2/5 Nov 17, 2015 Full Review Chris Knight National Post Man Vs. is a prime example of less-is-more filmmaking, in which the slow build is achieved with little more than sound effects and decent acting.
