While the film's woodsy frights build competently, director Adam Massey's lack of finesse prevents the viewer's imagination from running as wild as need be. Go to Full Review

Mixing 'found' and 'objective' footage as blithely as it blurs genres, Man Vs. starts small before revealing the place of humanity in an unforgiving universe. Go to Full Review

With nothing to justify all its slow meandering towards a lacklustre conclusion, Man Vs. is barely mediocre, and ultimately mostly a huge disappointment. Go to Full Review

Man Vs has a simple premise... a smart and tight script, shot economically with a compelling lead and blessedly sparing use of visual effects Go to Full Review

Dean S @DeanDFW Dec 27 Think “Blair Witch Project” but you get to see the monster at the end and a cliff hanger too. See more Claudio C @Claudio666 Oct 6 Man Vs. (2015) The Surprising Discovery (11,968 – 06 Oct 2025 – by Claudio Carvalho) In Canada, Doug Woods (Chris Diamantopoulos) is a survivalist that presents the reality show Woods Vs. on television with techniques of survival. He travels to the Northern of Toronto with his crew formed by Terry (Drew Nelson), Bill (Michael Cram) and Angie (Kelly Fanson) to meet the guide Duncan (Alex Karzis), who will take him for the wilderness for five days. After that, they will bring him back. Doug records instructions of survival but soon weird things happen in his camp. |He becomes paranoid, believing that his friends a messing with him. Until he has a surprising discovery. “Man Vs.” (2015) is an underrated sci-fi movie, with a tense screenplay. The viewer may guess what is happening with Doug, but the plot point is a surprising discovery. The conclusion is a cliffhanger for a sequel. My vote is seven. Great acting from the lead. On par with top-tier interesting sci fi and unusually good for horror. Worth a watch over 99% of movies, albeit not perfect.
