Kool Yvonne Strahovski 👌💨 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/13/24 Full Review Dominic C I am Dominic, originally from the Philippines, however, I have spent my whole life in the USA and have been an honest man all my life. When I came across a post on how to earn money using trading and mining bots, I felt it was the perfect time to give crypto investment a chance. I contacted the team, and they read out their working terms. I remember investing a total of $38,500.00 with their mining bot but anytime I wanted to access my funds, I was always asked to pay more. Weeks passed and I realized I had been outsmarted and conned. Everything looks real, and that's why even when I was asked by a coworker to contact ( Cybergenie(@)Cyberservices(.)com ( WhatsApp+)(1_2-5_2-5_1203_91), I was skeptical. Getting in touch with CYBER GENIE HACK PRO turned out to be the best thing that has happened to me. I was able to claim all I had invested in their platform within the hours I hired them and met their terms with their help. CYBER GENIE HACK PRO is unarguably the best team of hackers out here on the internet if you ever need a legit hacker for hire.. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/22/23 Full Review Ronald H A misguided and disappointing effort, one which has lowered my opinion of Adrian Brody. He never should have taken this sleazy role. But of course, actors hate to turn down big paychecks--and, of course, they need to keep their faces on the screen as much as possible. So much of this film is inexplicable. Questions abound in the viewer's mind, and none of them are answered satisfactorily. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 06/27/23 Full Review isla s I liked that this film had an old fashioned 'gumshoe PI/detective' feel about it. It has incidental music reminiscent of those kinds of films and it certainly has a seedy feel to it (there is an element of voyeurism present which may embarrass some people perhaps). I think Adrien Brody does quite well playing the down trodden PI type. However, the story I found a bit threadbare and I didn't find it entirely as engrossing as I may have liked. Its ok, not an awful film or anything but certainly not great either, sadly. Adrien Brody sempre ottimo; finale dolce amaro interessante. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member If you're in the mood for a film like LA Confidential or The Usual Suspects - Manhattan Night gives you those films' noir deliciousness in a New York indie film wrapper. Adrien Brody plays an investigative journo, who is begged by sexy femme fatale Yvonne Strahovski (pre-Handmaid's Tale!) to solve her husband's murder. (Brody's wife is Jennifer Beals and Strahovski's crazy husband is played by Campbell Scott - so the cast offers both accomplished acting and eye candy.) This film has a lot of great surprises plotwise, but the standout element for me is the psychological relationship between Strahovski and Scott's characters. Scott's character was a gifted filmmaker who constantly documented his life on video, and to solve his murder, Brody must watch his video diaries - which he discovers are rife with terroristic threats and sick pranks Scott's character plays on Strahovski. It's a stunning portrayal of an abusive relationship, and the reveal of their bizarre dynamic gets darker and darker as the film progresses. Campbell Scott's performance is UGH. Beyond creepy! There are multiple cool plot twists as Brody tries to understand the couple's warped attachment and find Scott's murderer, while fending off a powerful newspaper bigwig who wants something from Strahovski and is willing to threaten Brody's family to get it. Plus of course, Brody and Strahovski get romantically involved, so you get some noir sexytime. This movie is fun, scary, and emotionally haunting, with a beautiful score. Fair warning, the first 15-20 minutes are a slow burn, but give it a chance and you're going to get very hooked on uncovering the twisted relationship and solving the crime. The pace accelerates like a rocket towards the end and the climax is bananas. (I don't want to give it away). Not only did I enjoy the film, it left me in a lingering weird, unsettled mood and crept into my dreams that evening. That's what I always hope for from a noir, but rarely get. MANHATTAN NIGHT Y'ALL! Kate Erbland indieWire Despite being rife with crime, sex and darkness, Manhattan Night feels increasingly like a cheap ripoff of the genre it so very much wants to fit into. Rated: D+ Jan 2, 2017 Full Review Brad Wheeler Globe and Mail Director DeCubellis is frightfully beholden to the tropes of the genre, and the premise (involving blackmail, strange dares and an inexplicable horse story) is just not credible. Rated: 2/4 Aug 26, 2016 Full Review Bruce Diones New Yorker The thrilling twists and turns of Harrison's plot are here, but DeCubellis's hazy pacing drains the film of the book's zest. Though great material mishandled is frustrating to view, there are nonetheless some bright spots. May 30, 2016 Full Review Richard Crouse Richard Crouse As the movie slowly winds its way toward its anti-climatic final scenes it becomes clear that no amount of stylish direction or outrageous characters can make up for the far-fetched and convoluted story. Rated: 2/5 Mar 1, 2021 Full Review Andrew Parker The Gate It's probably not something worth rushing out to cinemas for, but it's great afternoon viewing with a pack of smokes and a glass of scotch at the ready. Rated: 3.1/5 Aug 28, 2018 Full Review Jason Best Movie Talk The payoff surprises by extending sympathy in unexpected directions. Besides, the stars really do look the part, with Brody making a convincingly dogged sleuth, while Strahovski is every inch the dangerously seductive siren.
