Jessica Kiang Variety An original enough blend of single-location thriller, online cautionary tale and WTF ridiculousness to make for an enjoyable plunge into the unknown/unknowable. Mar 1, 2023 Full Review Jordan Mintzer Hollywood Reporter About midway through, #Manhole more or less jumps the shark — or is it the manhole? — by throwing in so many twists that it veers toward gory parody. Feb 22, 2023 Full Review Chad Collins Dread Central #Manhole is uncompromising in its twisted, violent aspirations. Brazenly unpredictable, it’s one of the best survival thrillers in years. Rated: 4.5/5 Apr 1, 2024 Full Review Pieter-Jan Van Haecke Psychocinematography #Manhole is a highly engaging and twist-rich narrative that beautifully illustrates the continued importance of the image for the subject... Dec 16, 2023 Full Review Dan Scully ScullyVision The inherent silliness of the plot may prove distasteful to some viewers, but it’s such a bold swing that it’s hard to feel anything but excited by what transpires. Sep 27, 2023 Full Review Chris Sawin Bounding Into Comics #Manhole is ludicrous at times and its dependence on social media becomes a bit of a hindrance, but Yûto Nakajima’s solid performance and an absolutely bonkers ending make this a thriller worth watching. Rated: 3.5/5 Aug 25, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

TheMschelsea91 A situational thriller that could double as a character study film. Despite predominantly taking place in a manhole, the movie was well-paced and cleverly incorporated the use of social media as a driving force for the movie. Yuto Nakajima did an amazing job as the lead as he appeared in 90% of the film and his convincing portrayal sold the somewhat ludicrous plot twist towards the end. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/15/23 Full Review I went in thinking this was a romantic /wedding movie and in fact, it turned out to be a unexpected thriller., It was very intriguing. Nothing I expected. A very fascinating movie Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews
