Scott Marks San Diego Reader Recreations of the master's past are laughably bad: a numbing state of self-congratulatory and overly theatrical theatricality appears to have stricken all participants. So why was I never bored? Rated: 2/5 Oct 20, 2017 Full Review Stephanie Zacharek TIME Magazine You may not be able to afford the shoes, but Michael Roberts' documentary Manolo: The Boy Who Made Shoes for Lizards may bring you almost as much delight. Oct 5, 2017 Full Review Sofie Steenhaut Little White Lies The documentary is only beautiful on the surface. Rated: 2/5 Sep 28, 2017 Full Review Steven Prokopy Third Coast Review Blahnik is such a spirited, cartoon-like character that he makes the film all the more entertaining just by bursting into one of his high-pitched giggles. May 14, 2020 Full Review Dan Scully Cinema76 Blahnik is certainly talented, but he doesn't make for a compelling movie. Apr 15, 2020 Full Review Cate Marquis We Are Movie Geeks One does not have to care about shoes or fashion to be charmed and delighted by this documentary about this unique and appealing character. Audience Member I loved every minute: *his childhood: *the credibility to his mom's creativity;his father's appreciation for fine dressing; the filming capturing his love for lizards - making shoes for them - his innocence was captured as well as his gift so unique indeed but well appreciated and serving a purpose needed! I recommend it for the love of creativity and love of nature!!
