When Thor's evil brother, Loki (Tom Hiddleston), gains access to the unlimited power of the energy cube called the Tesseract, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Downey's Stark/Iron Man steals the show because the actor is capable of making the tritest dialogue sound wonderfully witty, but the CGI effects are amazing and, despite its length, the film is very enjoyable.

An emotional, funny, and influential team up movie that set up an amazing cinematic universe. The casts chemistry is great and the banter between them all carries the movie. Loki is a fabulous villain who shows high potential for what would become a great character overall later. Also, something this movie does that most of the other MCU projects have not is showing the normal people of the world. The montage of citizens of NYC reacting to the invasion and giving their thanks to the Avengers is really special. If not for this movie being a success, we might not have gotten this universe. 8.5/10
