Synopsis
Recently widowed Mary Horton (Candice Bergen), still spry in her 50s, takes an interest in Tim (Thomas McCarthy), a mentally challenged man in his 20s who works as a gardener and handyman. Mary initially hires Tim to repair her damaged flower garden, but his friendly nature inspires her to take him under her wing as a reading student. Eventually, Mary and Tim begin a romance, which earns vociferous opposition from their family members and the community.
