Randy Myers San Jose Mercury News “Mascarpone” cooks up quite the tempting treat, a hot romantic drama/comedy that joyfully celebrates sex and satisfaction. Rated: 3/4 May 24, 2022 Full Review Rich Cline Shadows on the Wall Filmmakers Alessandro Guida and Matteo Pilati take a refreshingly open-handed approach to sex and sexuality, grounding the characters and situations in earthy honesty and sharp wit. So even if the plot feels a little contrived, it's thoroughly involving. Rated: 3.5/5 Jan 24, 2023 Full Review Ben Turner The Pink Lens Less a rom-com, more a belated coming-of-age story, this is a film that lives up to its title. Rich, succulent and delicious, Mascarpone is a tasty treat, both on your plate and on screen. Rated: 4/5 Nov 26, 2022 Full Review Ayelet Dekel Midnight East the perfect dessert: sweet, but not too sweet…fun, flirty...with characters that are relatable, likeable, and seriously hot. Friendship, dating, and the mysteries of adulting are explored in this light and lovely feel-good movie. Aug 23, 2022 Full Review Dennis Harvey 48 Hills There’s something refreshing about its reversing the usual equation of such movies. May 23, 2022 Full Review Steven Warner In Review Online [In certain moments] Mascarpone transcends its melodramatic tendencies and finds something akin to emotional honesty; if only the rest of the film had followed suit. RD Sucks you in and keeps you there. One of the best films I have seen in a long time. Good acting, writing, cinematography, it's all in there. Soooo good. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/25/23 Full Review Eugene D I think it is a wonderfully touching and poignant movie. Giancarlo Commare is wonderful. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/21/23 Full Review Audience Member This Mascarpone lack sweetness and lightness. The main character is one of the most annoying I have seen in a loooong time (even by the gay media standards). Pretentious, with outdated cliches (ofc one gay have to die so the other could "learn to appreciate life" - seriously!?) and leading to dissapointing, stale conclusions about living own life as You want etc. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews
