Bobby Marks really good as this young man learning to come to grips with change and growing up expecting new things His parents played by Judy Greer and Luke Wilson are likable Even Donald Sutherland offers some helpful wisdom for the years ahead And I love Danielle Rose Russell being the great outlet for him whenever he needs to feel better when things aren't working for him But this film needed to stand out more from the crowd As is it feels pretty average given that we've seen this story done over and over and much better

Measure Of A Man is decently acted and genuine, despite having a protagonist that runs hot and cold at times. While it doesn't measure up to other top summer coming of age flicks (The Way Way Back is nearly identical and much better), its a solid watch.
