Lizaveta A A movie with a low intellectual level. There is nothing interesting in the plot and the play of actors. Stupid and inappropriate affectations of all the actors involved in this absurdity. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 08/20/23 Full Review StephenPaul C LOL, the funniest 01 hour: and 32 minutes ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/19/23 Full Review Liam N A movie so bad that it hurts. But if your a fan of the late great paul walker, it's surreal to see him so young and in a movie like this. Don't watch expecting it to be good, watch it expecting to say hello to an old friend. 4.4/10 Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/01/23 Full Review Zac S WOW This movie has me deedleling on the floor right now. Superb writing, directing, editing, and cinematography. Starting with the themes of the movie. There is a strong theme of man vs nature. This is seen through multiple different perspectives throughout the movie. Whether it be Mel and Mo trying to survive the lion while living on the pine tree, or the Bavarian ringmaster trying to control the bear. Characters constantly trying to survive and take on the elements. The villain's main goal in the movie is to reroute old faithful to an alternate location. Every character in the film is trying to manipulate nature in some capacity. The only characters that are able to overcome this, are the heroes Stew and Phil Deedle. They are able to defy nature and reality on multiple occasions and might possibly be gods within their universe. These two brothers have more power than all the looney toons combined. Even with their immense power, they are both use their power for the good of others. After turning Old Faithful into Deedlestone and changing the landscape of a National Park, they benevolently allow others to enjoy the spoils of their immense power. Understanding that Phil and Stew are literal gods is critical to understanding the depth of this movie. Without understanding this key point, much of the subtle themes of divine intervention, vs the hopelessness of man will be lost on the audience. The romance throughout the movie was very well done between Phil Deedle and Jesse. Homages to classic Disney movies like Lady and the Tramp was referenced. The peak of their romance has an amazing line spoken by Jesse saying "this is gonna be epic" spoken before an embrace. This makes me truly believe in love and that it will in fact, be epic. The core of this movie lies within its comedy, specifically the shaft jokes, which are done mostly during the final act of the film. Disney truly outdid themselves when writing the piece of literature. It is almost like the writers realized saying Deedle out loud was funny by itself so they made where Deedle is used in practically every other line in the movie. My favorite use being "man she is one firing hottie, what I would give to be the Deedle in her haystack" The writers made every line an "insert laugh here" moment and boy were the laughs genuinely inserted. The last aspect of the movie I will briefly touch on is the villain Frank Slayter. Truly better than almost every Marvel villain and on par with villain greats like Vector for Despicable Me and the Fairy godmother from Shrek 2. His goal is clear and simple, revenge. He tactical prowess is unlike no other and tests our heroes without mercy. Truly a hanus anus. Meet the Deedles was Steve Boyum's directorial debut and boy did it make an impact. Meet the Deedles changed my life, and if you are a fan of Martin Scorsese, you will sure love the masterpiece!!!!
