Chris G In its form of Armageddon & Deep Impact TV style. Meteorites may try to defeat the odds but its plot may not be it's finest, though its visuals were brilliant. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/17/24 Full Review brent g I want to give it two-and-a-half stars. The good thing about the movie is that it has a pretty good topic that has potential to interest people. Actually the idea of a meteor hitting you is kind of scary. Few personal disasters would be more unpredictable. One can't ignore the silly scenes where malicious meteors smartly target certain places—like the entrance of a mine just before the people in the town go into it. This might suggest that there is intelligence out there after all in the form of meteors capable of heading off crowds at the pass, but I remain skeptical. Incidentally, the movie is misnamed. A meteorite is actually a survived meteor that is sitting on the ground. When the debris is floating around in space, it's called a meteoroid; the plot of this movie centers around "meteors"—which happen when meteoroids enter the earth's atmosphere. They continue to be meteors until they hit the ground. If you were hit by one of these things, you'd be hit by a meteor. If you wanted to make a movie about people picking up space rocks off the ground, "meteorites" would be the title for you. So like the majority of lesser intelligent movies, this one is best watched by kids without much education or people who don't look for much depth in a movie.
