Cary Darling Fort Worth Star-Telegram/DFW.com It's impossible not to feel and identify with various members of the family, especially mom Veronica, who seem mired in a quicksand of poverty, hopelessness and poor decisions. Nov 21, 2017 Full Review Phil Guie Film-Forward.com An experience that's hard to shake. Rated: 4/5 Mar 23, 2019 Full Review Kayla Cobb Decider You may walk away feeling worse about the world, but Meth Storm is a deeply important watch about an issue that is ignored far too often. Dec 19, 2017 Full Review Eddie Strait The Daily Dot For as dark a picture as Meth Storm paints, it's not entirely devoid of hope. The biggest takeaway from Meth Storm is that the holding pattern we're in is untenable unless we're able to face harsh truths and find another approach. Chuck Houck C Sickening, horrifying, revolting, terrifying- exactly as the filmmakers intended. Repeated scenes of parents shooting-up WITH their own children. What's more, repeated scenes of PARENTS SHOOTING DRUGS INTO THE VEINS OF THEIR OWN CHILDREN. If this doesn't scare you straight, nothing will. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/10/24 Full Review Audience Member This was the most pointless documentary I've ever seen. It has a bunch of crackheads living in trailers with DEA agents sprinkled in for excitement. The war on drugs is a failure just like this movie. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member It's a very low budget bare-bones documentary, that just stays at the surface level. They don't offer insights into what's causing the epidemic, or what can be done to help the addicts and their families nor is there anything about the progress in regards to getting to the source of the meth (Mexico). It simply follows a very hard luck family (that your heart goes out to) around as they deal with a family member who gets arrested almost as much as he shoots up. HBO usually produces much much better docs than this hence I was underwhelmed. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member I don't wanna just watch people just shoot up over and over again. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member What a grim look at life in Arkansas and life on meth. I have ZERO sympathy for these people. Illiterate, contributing nothing to society, and never will. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 12/09/17 Full Review Audience Member The movie provides a look into Meth AND the socioeconomic conditions that can ease people into drug use. I kept thinking that every person in the movie most likely voted for Trump. Not because they were “dope heads” but bc I think his message of strong borders, jobs, and class resonated with this population. Ultimately they are getting screwed, but sadly I can see why Arkansas bleeds red. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/03/17 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
