Audience Member Movies can be made with many purposes in mind: to entertain, to provoke, to express or elicit emotion. This movie neither failed, nor succeeded in any of these categories to a great degree. The acting was serviceable, neither good nor laughable. The script failed to register any response or provoke any emotion. The camera work was...decent? Ok? The packing was solid though, never sticking in one place or on one scene for very long. The only parts that were enjoyable were the three or four truly schlocky moments, which are what people watch disaster movies for. Those ranged from, "That doesn't work that way." to "Yes! Hole! Through! The chest!" The effects are suitably TV movie level and thus, the most ironically enjoyable part of the film. Neither painful to sit through, nor enjoyable enough to sit through again, nor recommend it. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review santafe j Nothing you would want to put on your resume, that's for sure. Rachel Hunter is past her prime for leading rolls. And the villains are portrayed like cartoon characters. The only thing missing was an arched eye brow. Strictly Saturday afternoon filler material. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Personally, I found the side of the freezer next to me more interesting than I found the film. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Slow paced thrill-less ride with confusing plot points and unlikable characters. In other words, typical Syfy channel movie material. Though instead of monsters, we get a slow environmental issue that isn't too exciting or threatening. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member 2015-07-10 on Syfy as Swamp Volcano Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member If I only could ban this movie from the face of the earth I would but alas I can't. It's basically every other volcano movie ever made with the same plot of every other volcano movie ever made. Volcano underneath the city of Miami (How original) is going to erupt if nobody does something about it, dangerous illegal oil drilling in the city, steam tsunami.................steam tsunami? How new and how scientifically insulting it is. The graphics were horrible, literally the lava looked not real and the acting was terrible. I need to see "Volcano" and "Dante's Peak" to reassure myself of a better disaster movie. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Read all reviews
