CIA operative James Silva leads a small but lethal paramilitary team on an urgent and dangerous mission. They must transport a foreign intelligence asset from an American embassy in Southeast Asia to an airfield for extraction -- a distance of 22 miles. Silva and the soldiers soon find themselves in a race against time as the city's military, police and street gangs close in to reclaim the asset.

"Mile 22" para lo que ofrece está bien. Es la típica película de acción que pasaban en la televisión abierta: tiene una que otra buena escena de acción, personajes estoicos y una conspiración gubernamental que nunca decepciona. Pero para mí, la película peca un poco de ser presuntuosa. El conflicto es innecesariamente confuso, y el giro de trama, aunque efectivo, es poco interesante. El problema principal radica en la falta de "alma" que hace que esta cinta se vuelva genérica. El protagonista argumentalmente se parece a muchos otros que ha hecho Mark Wahlberg, y todo lo que lo rodea, desde locaciones hasta personajes, se siente sin identidad. No hay ningún atributo que le dé distinción a esta película. Es la típica cinta de acción que no hace daño: la miras una vez y a los diez minutos ya la olvidaste. Repito, no está mal; creo que es necesario que haya películas sin o con pocas pretensiones para simplemente apagar el cerebro, y esta cumple con ello.

Had some solid action scenes but editing was so sloppy, mark wahlberg felt more annoying then the tough hooligan, cool idea messy execution
