Robert K The visuals, choreography and special effects are decent. The story is quite hard to follow if you're not into Gnostic theology, and even then it's a bit poorly explained using a lot of symbology that you have to work hard to catch. Babylon Watch has a video explaining the whole thing. The acting is sub-par and possibly Sam Neill's worst performance. Watch Dead Calm if you're looking for a hidden gem of his. If you get sufficiently intoxicated, it can be a worthwhile mind bender but there are so many better choices. For that kind of thing it's probably in the top 900-1000 or so. Is a slap in the face and tells me you just didn't do your research on this guy. dude preaches about planet x. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review bryan b Somewhere along the way movies stopped having plots, character development and logic to be a jumbled mess of color and stream of consciousness fodder. This is another example. The movie was really good although it was confusing, I didn't understand any of it but the acting was good, the shots were good, the cinematography was amazing, the transitions were great, all around it was filmed beautifully! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member It had really interesting and nice theatrical elements, lots of play on colors and characters that resembled comic book characters in design. The concepts of the movie were interesting and I feel apply specifically to what's going on with brain implants in science in 2021. I really enjoyed the movie and will likely watch it again at some point. However, I feel as though the concepts were not adequately explained and the plot was hard to decipher while watching it. I'm not saying it didn't exist or that it was all over the place, it was just more like trying to sift through the elements and ideas to find what you are "supposed to think", in a way. The character designs were very strong and I personally loved the motley crew of the main characters, however there was not much emotionally developed depth of connecting the audience to the characters. Which could possibly have been a choice, however [spoiler] with the death of them you cannot experience that level of grief it appeared would have been beneficial to the story. But with that one fight scene it does make me feel as though perhaps we were not meant to feel connected to the main characters? So again, it could have been intentional. BUT overall. Did I like it? Hell ya I did. I already recommended it to a friend. I thoroughly enjoyed the process of watching the movie, and it was 100% worth the watch.
