A powerful window into this rowdy, angry and game-changing historical moment where gender and race collided Go to Full Review

Misbehaviour tackles some serious themes, but it does so in a thoroughly entertaining fashion. Go to Full Review

Caught in a tug-of-war between these two inimical angles, the film never blows up with the anarchic fury you're hoping for - it's polite and balanced to a dithering degree. Go to Full Review

The narrative is inconsistent and never quite finds its rhythm as it toggles between characters and issues, but ultimately is pleasing enough and shows a deeper insight than most movies that tackle historical events and big issues. Go to Full Review

offers plenty to enjoy, with Kiera Knightley a personable, likeable lead and plenty of hiss-able chauvinists for her to collide with...these fictional females seem rather less interesting than their real-life counterparts as revealed in the final credits. Go to Full Review

While the film doesn’t quite land as smoothly as it aims, it’s refreshing to see at least an attempt at intersectional feminism in such a glossy package. Go to Full Review

Nov 14 Women's lib true story. Who cares and it was impossibly boring. See more Ed . Aug 29 Most unladylike behavior. Sometimes a feminist’s gotta do what a woman’s gotta do. These beauty pageants were extremely popular entertainment in their day. At one point, the Miss America pageant was the year's highest rated television event. Times change, and now men have the internet as a source for objectifying women. See more Kyle M Apr 14 Directorially intuitive in a complicated stance as this solidly written, surprisingly tense drama shows the argumentative roots without a considerate balance when the performative edge subtly gestures there’s more regarding the issue whilst shown under sympathetic delusion with reverent imagery. (B) See more Kip K Jan 12 A total waste of a great cast of actors. About halfway through, it goes stupid, stops caring about credibility, and goes for the ridiculous. I found myself saying, WHAT?? Oh yeah, RIGHT, like NO WAY!" more times than I could count. Major disappointment all around. See more Kiara C 01/21/2024 Although the ending was pretty cringe, this movie is still one of the most beautiful movie i recently watched. See more Daniel G 02/21/2023 Enjoyable depiction of the historic beginning of the British women's lib movement in the 1970s. Though a somewhat light movie, it dealt with respect with other issues, too, like apartheid and racism in general. Not quite clear if the jury really thought the 2 black women were the top candidates or if there was some political aspect to their decision, like there was to send 2 candidates from South Africa to "whitewash" the segregation reality.
