Martin Geoffrey H A great entertaining movie. The main character is portrayed well and she is able to show how her wit helps her survive although being quite vulnerable. A lot of action too. From previous experience, I learned that the critics' reviews are often wildly out of touch with those of the general audience. So I thought I'd give this movie a watch anyway. I am glad that I did. Gina Rodriguez did a great job. Overall, I think the acting was good. The storyline and plot are not perfect, as there were multiple holes, but they are still ok. The action scenes are decent. Overall, this is a good and watchable movie. It was entertaining from the beginning till the end. Although the ending was a little bit out there and a tad unrealistic, I still liked the movie as a whole. Good job. The movie itself is somewhat unrealistic and dry, but id recommend it because I found it exciting. The ending is sort of unrealistic but also what makes it empowering and girlbossy. Miss Bala is directed by Catherine Hardwicke. Her previous films include Thirteen and Lords of Dogtown. Those two movies are entertaining and well-made. This movie is a disappointment in comparison.
