Blamed for a terrorist attack on the Kremlin, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and the entire IMF agency are disavowed by the U.S. government, while the president initiates the Ghost Protocol. Forced to go "off the grid" -- left without resources or backup -- Hunt must somehow clear the agency's name and prevent another attack. Complicating matters even more, Ethan must undertake the impossible mission with a group of fellow IMF fugitives whose actual motives are suspect.

Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol is, in a word, awesome. Better than that, it is the first film in Tom Cruise's TV-to-feature series that I have enjoyed start to finish, beginning to end and for every single moment of its two hour-plus running time.

For me, this sadly gets a step down from Mission: Impossible III. The lack of a great villain like M:I III had really hurt this film for me. However, the group team work, and epic action sequences are nearly perfect in this movie. There are so many epic action scenes here with climaxes on the end of each of them you can almost get lost in knowing where you're at within the film. That Dubai sequence is peak action though.
