Blamed for a terrorist attack on the Kremlin, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and the entire IMF agency are disavowed by the U.S. government, while the president initiates the Ghost Protocol. The action scenes are huge and sometimes jaw-dropping, and Bird’s visual style makes it easy to overlook the sheer unbelievability of some of the sequences. The Dubai skyscraper scene alone is worth the ticket price.

85%. 12/30/24. 2nd watch. Mission impossible went up a level with the fourth installment. In this one, they need to intercept missile codes from a terrorist. Jeremy Renner co-stars. Some bad ass scenes from them breaking Tom Cruise out of a Russian prison to the scene with Tom scaling the sky scrapper with the sticky glove and the sandstorm coming. Really enjoyed this film. 5/5 rewatch.
