After being released from a mental hospital, David Woolf (David Lowe) kidnaps his daughter, Melodie (Alexandra Capuano), and drives from Paris to Belgium, stopping to get the young girl's hair cut to disguise her. Melodie, who has never heard of David, calls her mother and occasionally makes halfhearted efforts to escape. Their car breaks down, and father and daughter check into a hotel, killing time until David runs out of medication for his psychotic tendencies.
