Dave S True, the special effects in Moon Zero Two are pretty decent considering when it was shot and the presumably small budget they had to work with. Equally true is the fact that the lunar landscapes are interesting to look at. Beyond that, the movie doesnā€™t have much of anything to offer. The plot is murky and almost non-existent, the music score is never appropriate to whatā€™s going on in the scene, the acting is wooden, many scenes either run too long or are pointless in that they add nothing to the story, the dancers in the bar are annoying beyond belief, the fight scene could be one of the worst ever staged, and much of the dialogue borders on brutal. That would about cover it. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/09/24 Full Review Audience Member I watched and enjoyed the MST3K version of this one, though I dunno how much fun it would be without the robots poking fun at it. Rental? Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Moon Zero Two is a movie could have developed as a murder-mystery or even a espionage flick ala James Bond but, instead, it just sort of trudges along almost as if those involved with this production weren't quite sure what to do with it. At least the signature Hammer cinematography is in evidence, as are great looking sets and costumes, and the movie does manage to entertain despite itself. But if you're on the fence about science fiction or prefer fast paced action movies then this will likely disappoint. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Space exploration has never been duller. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Another 2001: A Space Odyssey wannabe, and a terribly boring one too. I appreciate it for being a Western but I think the costume was possibly the worst thing in the film other than dialogues, is this what people thought the future would look like!? Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member The thing that makes this watchable is NOT the story, it's the camp value. The crazy retro-futuristic costumes and sets are a great, it looks like they spent a couple of dollars on production design too.. It's not bad if you want to see a groovy 1960s envisioned space-western. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
