In more ways than one, the spectre of death hangs heavily over More Than Ever, and Atef does not seek to comfort the viewer. But she does examine the marital and gendered responses and rifts to disease and grief that are rarely explored on screen. Go to Full Review

This is Krieps’ show, another elegantly virtuosic, intelligent turn that, in this case, imbues sickness with dignity so that every strained grasp for breath feels like a victory for autonomy. Go to Full Review

In many ways, More Than Ever is as much a film about life and death as it is about nature and civilization. Go to Full Review

Alain E @AlainE 3d An interesting film about negotiating with an imminent death. In the beginning it is not clear where the story is going. The heroine is a young woman in France with a terminal lung condition for which the only potential treatment is lung transplantation. Married to a very supportive husband she meets on line a young man who is also seriously ill. On the spur of the moment she decides to travel to meet him in Norway, where he lives. When she arrives, she finds out that the man who receives her is significantly older and he admits that he used on his online posts the picture of another much younger man in the same ward. Despite this, she decides to stay in a small shed in his remote house. The dark signs do not foretell a disaster. The man is a strange loner, but not a rapist. Eventually, the woman decides that she will stay in Norway to die alone and she will not accept the transplant. Acting and photography is very good. Symbolic images from nature, we could have done without. On Tubi. See more Drew M. @Stonehands211 Apr 5 Possibly Krieps best performance to date. What a wonderful send off of a performance for Gaspard Ulliel as well. Went out on top. See more Tom P @tpease 03/20/2025 It may be slow for some, but the acting is wonderful. Vicky Krieps is especially good. She conveys authenticity over a broad range of emotions. The theme of death is difficult, but it is explored deeply and realistically, both from the perspective of the dying and those who love them. The cinematography with its excellent use of light, is also worth noting. See more Read all reviews
