Audience Member A great concept and generally well done, although a little slow at times. Rated 3.5/5 Stars •  Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member This is my second experience with world cinema after the thought-provoking ''LA PASSION DU CHRIST''. ''Comme tout le monde'' aka ''Mr Average'' is about a guy Jalil (Khalid Maadour) who is used as a guniea pig to test the MNC's Products. During this course, He is captivated under CCTV for 24 hours. His every activity is seen by millions across the globe, Also Claire (Caroline Dhavernas) too gets hired to be his girlfriend and show intimacy with him. However the main motive behind this game is to know the opinion of Jalil on the French presidential Election poll. The idea is interesting, but sometimes an interesting idea doesn't turn into a fascinating celluloid experience this applies to MR AVERAGE. The first half is filled with scenes focusing on Jalil and his CCTV captivation that holds your attention as it's so original but it looses it's stream the moment he is exposed and becomes a reality TV star. The screenplay takes a predictable plot which doesn't make any sort of impact. The Only saving grace is the performance that shines, KHAHID MAADOUR delivers a spirited performance as Jalil. His innocent looks and infectious charm touches every chord instantly & CAROLINE DHAVERNAS looks convincing as Claire' but looks awkward while approaching the climax. CHANTAL LAUBY, GILBERT MEILKI (as the MNC Manager) & THIERRY LHERMITTE (as President Sarkozy) too makes an undeniable impression. Overall, COMME TOUT LE MONDE is a interesting half-convincing script but it is saved from being a wash-out by the lead's charismatic performance. Dwells into the topic of making choices and which ones are exactly good or bad. Not really sure if there is anyone who is that average after all.
