Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/28/25 Full Review Andrew L Many think this is the last of The Universal Studios Mummy movies. It should have been, but it isn't. Although the ending is great, the rest of the story is a bit of a drag. Not the best, but better than both THE MUMMY'S TOMB and the last film in the series THE MUMMY'S CURSE. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/16/24 Full Review Blu B It's basically the second remake of the Mummy's Hand so the 3rd one and the 4th sequel. (Say that 3 times fast). As much as we complain about Modern Movies remaking the same stuff, they were pulling this back in the 40's. It has all the problems of the previous ones and doesn't fix anything. The acting is filled with bland forgettable characters who all blend in terribly because this doesn't have any time to building any new characters. On top of that the acting is wooden and lacking any chemistry. The worst part is the horrifically bad pacing. This is REALLY REALLY boring, even more so than the other two. Mainly because it follows the exact same beats of the previous films almost to a T. Thus, there is no suspense because you already no what is doing this and why, you've already seen this before multiple times and done better, and the direction isn't anything specatular also. This is barely 60 minutes and it feels like it's over 100. It's amazing how much this drags and how slow/dry this feels nonstop even witht he slight 1-2% variations in the formula including the twist ending. Even with that it still isn't enough to justify sitting through so much boredom and the same thing again for a slight suprise. Skip This completely. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/28/23 Full Review Joel H Watching The Mummy's Ghost made me realize that Kharis the mummy is the Jason Voorhees of his time. He silently stalks, he mercilessly kills, he gets destroyed, and then he comes back again in the next movie without any real explanation as to how. I do think that this film is better than its predecessor. It does not rely on extended flashbacks and, even though the main plot was extremely predictable, the ending caught me off guard. Also, I guess it doesn't hurt that Ramsay Ames is quite beautiful. The mummy makeup is not as impressive, though. Probably because Lon Chaney Jr. is wearing a mask. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/07/23 Full Review Eric P The fourth installment of The Mummy franchise made by Universal and it probably might be the worst one. The Mummy's Ghost is just a rehash of the previous installments with hardly any changes. The only reason why this film was made was because it was cheap yet easily profitable. The title made no sense, the writing was effortless, and it was just boring. One of the worst movies I have ever seen. Zero out of five stars. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/18/23 Full Review Valerii Ege D Mummy in the town, haunting people, looking for his corpse bride to revive. The idea of Mummy is not this, but it was probably a good movie for its time. I don't know. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 09/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews
