Bunny V @RT05917928 01/09/2024 Good film, first watched it on true movies. It's based on a true crime and you can watch it on utube. The movie depicts it well. Honor killings are too frequent. See more 06/02/2013 "When a young south Asian Canadian girl marries a handsome (auto) rickshaw driver against her family's wishes, her father hires assassins to to kill the groom. Filmed in Canada and the Punjab region of India. Based on a true story." A modern day Romeo and Juliet, that started out kinda weak but then fully sucked me in especially since the story is still in the news here in Vancouver. It has a 'Lifetime movie' feel to it but I believe its a CBC production. Good performances (despite some questionable fake beards) The father is traditional to a fault and you really hate him. 6.13 See more 06/08/2010 So since Slumdog Millionaire I suddenly had a passion for Bollywood/ Indie movies. Loved this! Another cherished romance. Good acting. Nice, simple storyline. Believable storyline. Loved it. See more 01/14/2009 Sucha sad, amazing, and realistic story! See more Read all reviews
