Charles Solomon Los Angeles Times "My Hero Academia: Two Heroes" gives fans of the manga and broadcast series exactly what they want: a high-energy blend of heroism, comedy, friendship and take-no-prisoners battles. Sep 25, 2018 Full Review Jeffrey Harris 411mania Two Heroes excels in exploring its theme of empowering the next generation of heroes, while also offering another look at the past and backstory of All Might. Rated: 8.5 Aug 5, 2022 Full Review Brian Costello Common Sense Media Some violence, cursing in teen-centered anime. Rated: 3/5 Mar 12, 2020 Full Review Rachel Wagner Rachel's Reviews (YouTube) There were some good jokes and some good action. Rated: 7/10 Feb 13, 2019 Full Review Mikkel Synder Black Nerd Problems Relentlessly optimistic and incredibly wholesome, My Hero Academia: Two Heroes is both the feel-good movie of the fall that other films should aspire to be and the silver screen debut of what I'd call probably one of the most popular anime series of 2018. Jan 26, 2019 Full Review David Hogan Anime UK News Two Heroes shows how to tell a mini-story in an hour and a half and have it both pull some emotional weight and check all the action-based boxes these Jump! films always do. Brenden D A Solid Entertaining Simple Heroe's Tale My Hero Academia: Two Heroes gives viewers a fun jam pacted thriller as Izuku & his friends must rescue the Pros from a group of theives. The set-up for getting so many of our characters together in one spot while believable also feels a little forced like they were looking to get reactions from the crowd as they go "AND NOW HERE COMES THIS CHARACTER IN CHARACTER!" After you get passed that, it's a fairly enjoyable story. The new characters introduced with Rebecca & her father are solid additions who also help expand the lure. The history behind All might and Rebecca's father is phenomenal and highlights the urgency of the state of All Might's Condition. Rebecca herself is a Terrific Addition to the franchise. She's brilliant, determined, capable, has great moments with Deku, and her skills come in real handy for him as well so he has a reason to go Full Throttle. The fights are fine and entertaining enough as it becomes a basic case of "You guys go ahead, we'll deal with these goons" as an excuse to shrink the group down more and more. The Main Villain of this movie might be my favorite of all the lead bad guys throughout the films simply because they nail what they're going for with him. He's a simple theif who wants to make a big score, and while his design when he goes Super Movie Villain Mode in the final act is a bit busy, he's still plenty intimidating and has a solid quirk and some FANTASTIC LINES in the Dub. The final fight once or twice feels like it's about to conclude only to keep going, but it's not too jarring. The Climax allows for something we'll never get in the show which is a TOTAL TREAT as Deku & All Might Fight Together. The twist reveals range from Interesting to "Really????????? Really??????" The film still does a solid job at entertaining us. Not the most MIND BLOWING Anime Film, but one I don't mind putting on every once in a while. B 7.9/10 A Solid Watch For My Hero Fans Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/18/25 Full Review Kai S This movie was an ABSOLUTE BlAST. all the comedy and everything else that happened! was super awesome. here's a little backstory: after having watching the anime series episode to episode and then now waiting i had figured to just watch the movies of what is available on crunchyroll. and watching this movie i was like Eh.,.. alright Jokes aside and stuff Oh cool everyone is showing up ect then when it got the end with the villian and the controlling the metal and other stuff i was like "Omg that is SUCH a cool animation style" and then when deku and all might was flying towards the top and saying what they where saying and getting ready to punch that giant metal container. and when everyone in the background was yelling to them as well It reminded me SOO heavily of how i reacted when Goku and Frieza in Dragon ball reacted and it was SUCH A AMAZING BUILD UP TO THAT POINT amazing movie 10/10 and is definantly a watch tho if erasure head was available to go he could've helped XD Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/28/25 Full Review Martin B Solid introduction to the My Hero Academia movie franchise, as Class 1A end up on an island exhibition and have to fight the bad guys, with personal stakes for All Might and Deku. The new character who was friends with All Might during his time in America was more interesting than the main villain they brought in near the end, but the final sequence was so well animated and soundtracked. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/11/25 Full Review Davin C Asia, I hope all of your people stop watching ts, it's terrible, I would rather watch the worst movie I've ever seen (The Godfather) then watch this again Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/10/25 Full Review Izzy 1 Pretty good, feel like I would have enjoyed it more if I saw it when it came out & not in 2025 when the series is almost over. Great movie for newcomers or those early in the anime. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/07/25 Full Review Gustavo R Young Midoria and the rest of hero academia face a group of baddies that are trying to steal some hero tech from a moving island. HA is probably one of the best fighting animation shows. Their animation is incredible. Story is pretty cool too. A must watch for the anime fan 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿/5 on Hulu Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/25 Full Review Read all reviews
