My Kingdom

What to Know

Critics Consensus

Overstuffed and unrealistic, My Kingdom may be worth seeing if only for Richard Harris' typically fine performance.

Audience Member In this, his final film, Harris put in a strong performance - unfortunately everything else is decidedly amateur Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member a decent addition to the british gangster movie Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member A modern day "King Lear" that is essentially your basic soap about a family working in the field of organized crime. All of the usual mob romantism is left out and replased by extreme harshness and dark imagery. The overall grittiness works for a short while, but the film doesn't take off at all. The end result is a sadly tired and predictable story that even a reasonably good cast can't save. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member I really enjoyed this. Re-read Lear first. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/11/23 Full Review Audience Member wow - very good and rather disturbing. sometimes the Shakspearian moments work, and sometimes they seem otu of place or a bit OTT, but overall rather good Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Modern king lear, great film...
