Napoleón llega a la isla de Elba exiliado (o como muchos piensan, para apoderarse de la isla). Un maestro de primaria (Elio Germano), odia a Napoleón con mucho fervor. Su plan de asesinarlo parece tomar forma cuando el emperador lo contrata como su bibliotecario. Suena gracioso, pero no lo acaba siendo mucho en la película. Los intentos frustrados de nuestro maestro para matar a Napoleón pudieron haber sido más graciosos. Que sirva de excusa para ver esta película la buena actuación de Auteil y lo que puede hacer con el personaje. Ah, claro, y Monica Belluci también.
