Audience Member one of the best ever produced in bollywood Rated 4.5/5 Stars •  Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Naya Daur is a classic B R Chopra movie with a great message in it (managed to find the new colourised version from the Black and white one updated last year). The movie is about race of tanga(horse cart) with a bus. I think this is one of the few best performances of actor dilip kumar.Actress, Vijayanthimala also lends a helping hand in giving a very natural peformance. It's a Marxist masala, of a type probably not too dissimilar to those Soviet tractor musicals being produced around the same period... Imbued with the tremendous warmth of spirit Bollywood movies have always been capable of, it remains fascinating as an attempt to do something more ideological within a long-established (and famously conservative) form.
