Nikki Francisco Cosmopolitan (Philippines) The film does a really good job of recognizing that all dreams are valid and worth chasing after, not just ones that make you famous or take you abroad. Audience Member A romance movie directed and written by Antoinette Jadaone about the struggles of millennial relationships. For me this movie of Nadine Lustre and James Reid is a graduate movie from their loveteam and teenybopper era of movies as their portrayal here is leaned towards adulthood and maturity. This was also a good movie to showcase their acting prowess. Reid's tagalog lines still gets in his way but gave a strong performance. But Lustre shines here the most for her acting performance. She was relatable and compelling. Lustre's stellar performance here garnered her a 2019 FAMAS Best Actress award which actually piqued my curiosity to watch this film and I find that she rightfully earned that prestigious award. Never Not Love You has a simple love story that is easy to understand. It is not something grand or has that wow factor kind of story but it isn't worst as well. Just simply fine. The conflicts are relatable as these are common conflicts that young adults face nowadays. It tackles relationships conflicted by long-distance set-up, trust, family responsibility and career goals. It opens our eyes on how young adults cope up in the challenges of their relationship and how to deal with staying together but needs to grow individually. I would like to commend the cinematography of the film for being able to capture the romantic moods of Makati and the beauty of London where a quarter of the film was shoot. The ending was tricky. It misleads us to a happy ending but it wasn't - You can see and feel that sadness in the eyes of Joanne played by Lustre. As for james, he surprised me his performance was top notch. Overall, I loved the movie the cinematography and the color aesthetics were so beautiful too it gives the movie this real/ young love vibe. I loved the ending too. Well great job, hope to see you in even greater acts. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Never Not Love You knows how to put it altogether.
