Elizabeth Garcia But Why Tho? A Geek Community NiNoKuni is an excellent adaptation that captures the spirit of the series. Fans of Studio Ghibli films or fantasy animes should absolutely press play on this delightful, whimsical, and emotional story. Apr 15, 2023 Full Review John Serba Decider Ni no Kuni is not magical, and therefore smells like something we've all smelled before. Jan 21, 2020 Full Review Matt Schley Japan Times All in all, the plot is about as lifeless as the animation. Rated: 2/5 Aug 28, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews

Aluna U *Ni No Kuni* is a visually inspired film continuing the game’s story, blending parallel worlds with a clear but somewhat shallow narrative. While action scenes and music enhance excitement, inconsistent animation and underdeveloped characters limit emotional impact. Despite some vague story elements, strong voice performances make it an engaging experience for mature audiences. I wasn't able to finish it in one sitting because it put me to sleep. The animation was beautiful, and it had some heartwarming moments, but the story just wasn't compelling enough to keep me interested. I could see fantasy and anime fans enjoying it, but this definitely isn't the best animated movie on Netflix. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/25/25 Full Review Hex x This is a good movie, and the animation at the start, the attention to detail over the character in the wheelchair is stellar. Tho at the very end they seem to push that to the side a bit I noticed, I would've appreciated it better if they had tied that back around at the end as well. It just rlly felt like they completely forgot about it at the end. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/25 Full Review Jhosep G The animation and the story both felt as if they were uncompleted. Like, what were those beats supposed to be? A little less effort put into that movie would have made nod difference. And, like, the clichés. Half the movie were clichés, the other half was just a poor attempt into trying to get this thing started. Credits just because it was entertained to watch in it's own unique way.
