Russell (AJ Bowen -- You're Next, The Signal) is a driver in Los Angeles who's reeling from a series of bad decisions. While his life seems to be caught in a downward spiral, a business proposition from an alluring but enigmatic passenger named Charlotte (Sophie Dalah -- Unbroken, Dead Night) proves too good to turn down. A simple ride turns deadly, catapulting Russell into an even darker place, but Charlotte may be the key to a second chance he thought he'd never have... if he can make it through the night.

I enjoyed it just as much the second time, preparing for this review; watching the interplay between Russell and Charlotte, the close-ups, the neon lights, the claustrophobic tension and the daft Christmas animals.

This neo-noir, with a chunk of comedy was bouncing along nicely, and then Sci fi, in the shape of time travel was introduced. Sigh...nearly a good film

started as "ah, yet another story about an honest uber driver and a killer passenger" BUT later on I was glued to the screen. I'm glad I didn't turn it off at the start. Lots of fun (but some gruesome scenes too, it's def. not for kids)

The charm wears bit thin in the middle; and there's a bit of a shark jump with some stupid dialogue, but then it takes off and rolls into a solidly executed thriller with some nice twists and exciting overtones. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
