Audience Member An average but fresh and engaging mystery thriller. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member "Night Key" rolls along at a decent pace. Karloff is as good as ever, playing a character who comes off as extremely naïve at times. He has good chemistry with Jean Rogers, as his daughter. She gets a love interest in the form of a cop, Warren Hull. The romance isn't well developed but Hull is nice enough. Hobart Cavanaugh as Petty Louie, the thief Boris teams with, provides most of the movie's humor, especially his confusion at his partner's good-nature pranks. Alan Baxter is the serious villain of the film, a monotone-voiced, appropriately threatening crime boss. You won't loose too much during the 67 minutes it takes to watch "Night Key," even if you could maybe use that time better, especially if you're looking for a horror movie. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Well done Karloff pic with Boris as an older man who is practically blind. Very good portrayal with an interesting story line and nicely acted characters. Great film for a change of pace. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Enjoyable light weight 30's SCI-FI / Crime Film--Good Ole Boris!! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Just an ordinary fare Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member A rather average movie, but still an intriguing one! The technological creations that were thought up are very cleverly done. The majority of the cast gave solid performances especially Boris Karloff who finds himself in yet another impressive role! Worth the watch but it's not a must see movie of the time! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
