Bryant Frazer Film Freak Central Pedestrian. Director Aldo Lado never ventures far down the more surreal or dreamlike paths favoured by his better-known compatriots in the genre arts. Daniel C. M The last 40-30 minutes are a genuine 9/10, with very nicely filmed horror and gore, plus satisfying revenge; which is sad because the first half is a absolute drag, filled with unnecessary and essentially pointless scenes, dialogue, and character "development". Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/20/24 Full Review Audience Member Night Train Murders also known as Second House on the Left aka New House on the Left is absolutely fiendish disgusting shocking violent grindhouse revenge film I've ever seen, it really compared to Wes Craven's Last House on the Left but what a chilly haunting music score by Ennio Morricone. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/28/22 Full Review Audience Member Disgusting, perverted, twisted and gruesome. Wish I never watched this. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Or Last House on the Left On A Train. Two young teenagers cross paths (or tracks) with a trio who degradate and sexually humiliate them. One of them is accidentally killed, the other jumps from the train to escape her captors. The trio then find themselves at the home of one of the teenagers. Revenge ensues. Stylish direction and cinematography prevail in this film whilst the 70's Euro vibe is captured very well indeed. Just like Last House this film is VERY extreme! In fact this film was banned by the BBFC when submitted for cinema screenings in 1975. The video was placed on the Video Nasties list in 1983 but was then acquitted the year after and promptly removed from the DPP list. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review delysid d its alot like the house on the edge of the park, but not quite as good. i liked it Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/28/18 Full Review Audience Member An unbearably cheesy song playing over the opening credits followed by about 35 minutes of excessive character development are only the beginning of the problems most viewers will have with Night Train Murders. Foregoing graphic content in favor of European art-house sensibilities, this would-be exploitation film is most effective when revealing a bourgeois woman's capacity for sadistic voyeurism and depravity.
