Cult filmmaker Nico Mastorakis is an unabashed exponent of exploitation cinema, never having met a B-movie trend or subgenre he couldn’t assimilate into his own distinctive sensibility. Go to Full Review

A poorly scripted and clumsily directed horror yarn. Go to Full Review

bill t @Spuzz 01/18/2023 After a blistering start, where it blows (excuse the expression) the film that inspired it, The Crazies, totally out of the water (needed more action and less talk essentially), the film totally crashes in it's final act, and becomes, essentially, a chase movie. A very long one, with absolutely no resolution about why the plot we just saw took place. It's just one evil dude. Who is this guy? But anyways, the first half as I said, is ridiculously fun, but still, stay away, because you're wind up crying how they could fuck this one up so bad. See more 08/17/2020 A hilariously ridiculous riff on something like the crazies, where a small town becomes infected and just go bonkers. It's technically a bad film, but I had a blast watching Wings Hauser, Bo Hopkins and George Kennedy posse up and battle the raving lunatics. Just watching that first farmer run amuck and cackle like a looney tunes villain was worth the price of admission alone. See more 03/28/2013 When you talk about remakes, lots of different films come to mind as examples, but one that will now come to my mind more prominently than before will be Nightmare at Noon, which is a remake of the film Mutant by the same director. This awful movie feels like a clone of The Crazies and a pre-cursor to 28 Days Later. Not that those comparisons are justified, mind you, but they popped up in my mind now and again. The film seems to have been stitched together with good intentions, but ultimately, with bad results. The acting, the cinematography (I'm thinking it was shot open matte because I noticed the camera's top visor in shot a couple of times), and not to mention the unnecessary use of helicopter duel footage, the movie is pretty bad. One redeeming thing though is that the crew at Rifftrax did a hilarious take on it. Otherwise, not good. See more 03/11/2013 Pretty bad. I remember sort of liking it when it came out, but I was 12 and didn't know better. It was made to be taken seriously, yet has a child-like plot and a hokey show-down at the end. Buy this crap for a dollar to have around when friends want to make fun of a bad, bad movie. See more 11/02/2012 It's worth it to see Wings Hauser get choked out in the first fifteen minutes. See more 06/30/2012 This was a pretty good movie, and is basically about the towns people becoming exposed to contaminated water, which turns them into crazy, wild, zombie like lunatics.
