Eric Henderson Slant Magazine Both the crypto-zombies of Nightmare City and the film itself are fast-paced sons of bitches without so much as a whisper of a thought inside their heads. Rated: 2.5/4 Apr 25, 2008 Full Review Steve Biodrowski Cinefantastique This profound subversion of our critical and aesthetic assumptions confronts us - like a logical paradox that seems both true and false - with a film that seems both awful and entertaining. Rated: 2/5 Jun 24, 2014 Full Review Alex Sandell Juicy Cerebellum The movie is piled high with cheese, but makes for a tasty guilty pleasure. Rated: 6/10 Oct 23, 2005 Full Review Mark Palermo The Coast (Halifax, Nova Scotia) Rated: 2/5 Sep 28, 2005 Full Review Emanuel Levy EmanuelLevy.Com Rated: 2/5 Sep 24, 2005 Full Review Read all reviews

BigD J Classic Italian/spaghetti horror. One of 85 million variations of “Living Dead” films, of course. There’s some very slow moving parts with a horrible soundtrack, but the death scenes are way over the top, epic, and hilarious! Had me CTFU! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 05/26/24 Full Review Justin T This is a really bad and painfully boring Italian zombie film. It suffers from all the normal Italian problems - terrible script, bad acting, atrocious dubbing and has no redeeming features except for a bit of violence and nudity here and there. The characters are so stupid in this to the point that it becomes frustrating at times. There is no reason to watch this. In fact there is no reason to watch Italian horror except for Zombie (1979). It is amazing how bad this film is. I just wanted it to end. And then the end is so terrible - it is not original, it is not big and it is not clever. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Nightmare City is definitely a zombie horror film it's extremely gory and graphic and it has some good plot and a twist that you won't to be missed. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Nightmare City is absolutely extremely violent gory film with extreme shocking death scenes and the first fast moving zombie on early 80's. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/15/20 Full Review delysid d An italian zombie movie of the early 80s Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/25/17 Full Review Audience Member Not on par with other zombie movies, but fast moving zombies, that know how to fight with weapons are scary.
