Mariana R lloré desconsoladamente los últimos 2 minutos. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/08/23 Full Review Puja A What a mind blowing performance by the lead actor! The movie is slow in the beginning, it can feel like a docu-drama, the theme gets darker and several villains are revealed as the story progresses. This is not one individual's struggle but a collective one, you feel less for the one missing girl as you see so many tales of torment. People are not numbers, a reminder by the filmmakers in the end. But for the authorities they are. I felt the helplessness of those seeking closure and justice and disbelief that this is a harsh reality in so many countries. That's the difference a well made film can make- the news of Mexico's drug cartels gunning down a dozen women recently didn't hit me the way this story and presentation did. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/12/23 Full Review Brad M Story line was hard to keep up with and no clue what was going on the whole time. Maybe it's just because of the voice over into English… maybe it was missing key factors in the translation. Don't waste your time watching Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/21/23 Full Review Winston W I may change this review after I watch it, but judging from the obvious sofa-livers who play video games & live rent-free in their Mom's basements while complaining that the widespread murder of women isn't a "thriller, I suspect this must be a powerful film. How tragic that adult boys looking for thriller entertainment weren't distracted for another 90 minutes from the behavior that contributes to the very suffering the film elucidates. Will watch w/ our adult children. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review J S Honest to god…worst movie I've ever seen. I love thrillers and such. The plot was a mess, couldn't for the life of me figure out what the point was. Just an absolute disaster movie. Leonardo Garcia Tsao La Jornada Despite minor flaws, this film successfully distills rage and indignation through Egurrola's masterful performance. [Full review in Spanish] Jan 23, 2023 Full Review Rene Sanchez Cine Sin Fronteras Julieta Egurrola is superb as the lead of this heart-wrenching drama about a mother's calvary to find justice and truth while fighting a broken and oppressive system. [Full Review in Spanish] Rated: 3/4 Jan 21, 2023 Full Review Mikel Zorrilla Espinof The film is not satisfied to be labeled as merely necessary cinema and shines by showing a drama that is chilling at times with a great performance by Egurrola. [Full review in Spanish] Rated: 4/5 Jan 18, 2023 Full Review John Serba Decider Beristain carefully balances Noise’s contextual and emotional fodder, honing a powerful portrait of systemic corruption, moral rot and the anguish of the powerless. Jan 13, 2023 Full Review Roger Moore Movie Nation A gripping story that has plenty to say to audiences all over the world, especially those with under-policed police, accepted corruption at the highest levels, where a “War on Women” is a political policy, even if it’s never been declared. Rated: 3/4 Jan 12, 2023 Full Review Lori C. Ready Steady Cut It’s uncomfortable to watch, and that’s what makes it crucial viewing. Rated: 4.5/5 Jan 11, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews
