Matt Brunson Film Frenzy Singer Tommy Sands, at the time married to Nancy Sinatra (they divorced later that year), is absolutely terrible as a barking lieutenant, with his performance almost single-handedly crippling the movie. Rated: 2.5/4 Jun 29, 2019 Full Review Sean Axmaker Turner Classic Movies Online ... a familiar lesson in the futility of war, but [director Frank] Sinatra has an easy way with the actors and lets them carry the scenes. Bruce J It's nice to see a WWII movie. I still like the old uniforms. Clint Walker is the star, Frank Sinatra is going through the motions, and Sands is the reason I only gave it a 4 star. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/28/24 Full Review James C One of my very favorite war movies. Not much war action but it isn't what the movie is about. It is about friendship possibilities even with the enemy. I purchased this movie off of Clint Walkers website 15 years ago. I told him he was one of my favorite actors and how this was one of my favorite all time movies. He took the time to send me a very nice personal email thanking me. My only regret is that I didn't print a copy of it. He seemed like the gentle giant he portrayed on TV and in the movies. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Clint Walker gave a stellar performance. He is the star of this movie but not given the star credits he deserves. He is why I am giving this movie a 5 star rating. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Good film that is directed well by Frank Sinatra. Interesting story where U.S. and Japanese enemies are stuck together on an island during World War 2, forcing them to interact with each other for better or worse. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Not bad Sunday afternoon fare. American soldiers are shot down on an island inhabited by the Japanese during WWII. They get to know each other and become friends, but then have to go back to killing each other to get off the island. Thus proving the futility of war. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review ashley h None but the Brave is an excellent film. It is about a platoon of Marines crash-lands on a tiny Pacific island occupied by a Japanese unit during WW2. Frank Sinatra and Clint Walker give incredible performances. The screenplay is good but a little slow in places. Frank Sinatra did a great job directing this movie. I enjoyed watching this motion picture because of the drama. None but the Brave is a must see.
