Harrison Kelly Little White Lies A compendium of gangster archetypes that verge on self-satire, held together by a plot as unsophisticated as a WWE fight. Rated: 2/5 Oct 15, 2015 Full Review Mike McCahill Guardian With writer-director Steve Nesbit preoccupied with delaying his under-budgeted action, an odd listlessness takes over: you just want Danny Dyer to stroll on and tell everyone to stop poncing about. Rated: 2/5 Oct 15, 2015 Full Review Tom Huddleston Time Out A relatively bearable gangster drama, its clichd plot and drab direction compensated for by a strong cast. Ant O If this had been the first Brit gangster flick it would’ve killed the genre at birth and that would’ve been a shame as it ( the genre) has at least some aspects which are worth the effort, The Gentleman being a prime example. The cast in this inferior latest effort is decent but not utilized bar the standard cockney sneer and more Effin and Jeffin than a vicars gin party. The romantic liaison between the daughter and young gun in opposing gangs was the worse part of the film and that was pretty much the premise. Says a lot. Steven Berkoff what happened ? Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/10/24 Full Review Audience Member It's British crime drama with all that entails. It's efficient enough, all the right characters in all the right squares, there's even a small beating heart and some decent acting. If 'sweet as a nut' and similar butter your parsnips then you're in for an entertaining ninety minutes or so. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member A very poor version of Romeo and Juliet! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Proof even the Brits release garbage Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member More boastful then badass, this British b movie is borin' us.
