There's nothing good in Nothing But Trouble, a grotesque comedy that is more likely to make audiences ill than make them laugh.

Jay Boyar Orlando Sentinel For the most part, however, the humor depends upon the audience's finding the movie's repulsiveness funny. Melissa M It's definitely a really weird movie. probably the weirdest movie I've ever seen in my life. But at least Hollywood had an imagination back then. In any case Dan aykroyd did. God bless him. I heard it was based on an actual experience. Where Dan awkward got pulled over by the cops late at night. The script is so unusual. The whole story line is so bizarre. But it's so cool Demi Moore, Chevy chase, John candy, and Dan aykroyd are all in one movie. Talk about an amazing cast. I think it's one of the original gross out comedies. Just when you think I couldn't get any weirder. Even Tupac Shakur is in the movie. Where else can you find such an eclectic cast. Even though the movie got really bad reviews. It's refreshing to see that Hollywood once had an imagination. Now they have a serious lack of one. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/14/25 Full Review Jeffrey D This movie tries too hard to be funny. I watched it because of respect to Chevy Chase and John Candy. The best Chevy Chase quirky lines, similar to like he does in Caddyshack and Fletch, come in the first 20 minutes of the movie. Some of the lines are recycled from previous movies (cop scene in this movie vs. doctor scene in Fletch). The fat ugly judge and grandsons try too hard to be funny. Leave the fat suits and mutations to B-rated horror flicks, not comedy. The plot line holds and is intriguing to explain a lot of real-world disappearances, but that’s overshadowed by the rest. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/09/25 Full Review Michael C One of my favorite childhood movies and still one of my favorites today!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/07/25 Full Review Butch W Ignore what the critics say. Apparently it was too weird or something. One of the best movies I've seen in a long time! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/24/24 Full Review Gorptholemew T 🍀 1.0/10 I was checked out by the 20 minute mark. Few to many shitty jokes that don’t land and just unwatchable at points it’s just bad really really bad😀. This is literal ADHD. The tonal and quality whiplash of pi and this was crazy. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/21/24 Full Review Rick D This movie has become a cult classic 30 years later with many people watching it again and again. When it came out people panned it, but over time it's aged very well and parents are now re-introducing it to their teenaged kids. Not sure how this was so hated when it was released but now so loved and treasured in our memories. It's hilarious to watch now, with a fantastic cast. Watching this brings back so many childhood memories. If you haven't seen it, I'd recommend it Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/12/24 Full Review Read all reviews
