Anne Cohen Refinery29 It's a pleasure watching these four legendary women interact.Moore's quirky neuroticism and amazing all-black wardrobe are a treat to watch. Gates Cool People Have Feelings, Too. (Substack) The fashions and soundtrack are as iconic as the many standout scenes in a film that still resonates as deeply as it did thirty years ago. Jun 14, 2025 Full Review Mal Vincent The Virginian-Pilot Now and Then is rather obvious and predictable about its girls but it is thoroughly likable. There is a sensible balance between girlish wonder and the sense of impending adulthood. Rated: 3/4 Mar 1, 2022 Full Review Margaret A. The USA grossed over $27,100,000.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/02/25 Full Review Grace W One of the best coming of age films for girls. This movie is an absolute treasure. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/12/25 Full Review Horror fan 4 A great movie. The younger cast steals the movie. Absolutely will be watching again. Tim Treakle Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/26/25 Full Review Sonic H It was meh, the grown up versions of the main cast didn't fit their characters. The "then" part of the movie was the best, besides one scene, I'm not normally a puritan when it comes to nudity, but child nudity and comments about said child's body is kinda where I draw the line if it isn't used for historical or educational purposes. The child nudity and weird comments about said boy's privates was a weird and icky choice by the director and writers to show and have in the script, could've been easily avoided with clever camera angles or just given them something like at least underwear to wear, idk how that part even was legal to film given this was made in the US. All in all, the film was meh, the "now" part of the movie and weird decisions made by the director drag this movie down and disrupt my enjoyment of the movie quite severely Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 09/16/24 Full Review Michael S A rewatch might be needed but I still thought that this was a pretty solid coming of age movie. I really adored the 70s aesthetic to it and the music choices fit perfectly. The young leading actresses are all fantastic too. The thing that I don't really like about it is definitely the "Now" scenes, they just drag this movie out. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/01/24 Full Review Read all reviews
