A team of scientists, led by Dr. Rick Torres (Kerwin Mathews), travels to Mexico to research radioactive material in the water. While there, they discover several octopi that appear to have a human mutation and take them back to the lab for more study. Their benign abduction awakens the parent octopus, however, endangering the lives of all the scientists. Octaman (Read Morgan), as he is called, employs several predatory methods, including strangulation and hypnosis.

02/16/2019 Absolutely loved this film. Recommended for all!! See more 10/01/2016 Hilariously awful tale about a rubber suited humanoid octopus terrorizing a group of scientists out in the dessert. This is really a zero-star film, but I did get two-and-a-half stars worth of ironic enjoyment out of the film. Pier Angeli does some serious slumming for her final film appearance, She died of a drug overdose during filming. For the talk about these waters being important to a poor local fishing village, you never do see a trace of any fishing going on. Could be why the village is so poor.
