David Essex worked on a variety of projects during his entertainment career. Essex's career in acting began with his roles in various films like "Assault" (1971) with Suzy Kendall. He was nominated for a BAFTA Award for "That'll Be the Day" in 1973. In the eighties and the nineties, Essex devoted his time to various credits, such as "Ghost Writer" "A Broadway Christmas" (Showtime, 1990-91) and "Face of the Enemy" (1990). He also worked on "Mortal Passions" (1990), "Life on the Edge" with Jeff Perry (1992) and "Shogun Mayeda" (1992). Essex's music was also featured in the Kirsten Dunst comedy "Dick" (1999), the Sid Haig horror sequel "The Devil's Rejects" (2005) and the Chris Klein comedy "The Long Weekend" (2006). Most recently, Essex acted in the Doug Allen crime drama "The Guvnors" (2014).
